To further explore patterns in French, Mini TFO has a list of interactive videos!
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMb4QBzxFwX_fU0clyrZGIDaqouEKb3tj We've been investigation patterns over the last couple of weeks. Students have enjoyed creating patterns using classroom materials. Many have begun making colour patterns while writing their names in the morning! As people in the community have been a topic of conversation and inquiry, we invited Nurse Carina (Mme Van's sister) to come for a visit on Wednesday, April 9. She talked about what it was like working at the hospital and what nurses do for people. As we are discussing different elements of art, colour has been a topic of conversation and something the students are confident in naming in French. This was quite the popular activity last Monday! Many interesting terms were used to describe what was occuring, such as "it's melting" and "it's like a volcano!" On April 1, the students enjoyed mixing, baking and eating our granola bars. Here are a few photos. On March 25th we planted seeds. We added water to our pods, and watched them grow, then the students chose tomato, bean or flower seeds to plant. |
